Katie Couric is a name that most people in the country have heard before. It is safe to say she is a super star in the world of Journalism. Where did she get her start though? Katie graduated from the Universiy of Virginia, in 1979. After that she had her first journalism job at the ABC news bureau in Washington, D.C. Since then Couric has bounced around to several different positions, mostly within CBS.

As of today, Katie Couric has her own talk show, called Katie.  Since she first graduated college she has had jobs in the news broadcasting business. I think Katie Couric is on top of her game, so to speak. She seems like she is a very driven person and she accomplishes what she sets her mind to.  I think it takes  a good amount of dedication to hold a job such as hers. She probably has to work long hours, which means time away from her family. Overall I think that Katie Couric is an excellent journalist and we will continue to see her on television.
